The last supermoon of the year will be visible in galways skies on Thursday and Friday night. If it’s not past your bedtime at around 1/4 past 9 tonight and 10 to 11 tomorrow look to the east

Why was this moved from the Galway thread without explanation? I put it in that particular form for other Galway sky gazer.

Would have been a great night for doggers, cottagers, and seagullers if it weren’t for the lockdown.

Moved from Galway as we don't have any of those abhorrent behaviours here :).

Calling every second full moon a bloody super moon is like the whole naming every storm craic..

It's a bloody full moon.. there's one every month.. sometimes they're a bit bigger than others..

Apparently this suupermoon makes virgos more grumpy than usual. It’s ok, it will be out of your celestial plaIn soon.

It’s called a “super moon” as it is at perigee, closest to the earth. At apogee it is known as a “micro moon”.
