Feeding lambs and calves in the same field

    Hi all,

For a few reasons, it’d be handy to put weaned lambs and calves just off milk in the same field here.

Both groups are eating meal - lambs on finisher nuts and calves on calf nuts. I’m throwing some molasses beet pulp into the mix for both.

The lambs have low troughs sitting on the ground and the calves would be eating out of troughs that are about 2-feet off the ground.

Would it be too simple to think I could mix rolled oats and beet pulp and feed both groups at the same time in the same field?
