    Any ideas on best product for long term control of thistles and nettles

    yes it's 1 of the best

    secret is to spray at correct stage

    nettles before they go into seed and thistles before they bud out , the more foliage for to take the chemical to the root system all the better.

    Tackling big clumps of nettles is more than a one year job, the bank of seeds in that spot would be big.
    My spraying of nettles is done for the year moving onto spear thistles at their rosette stage next

    The butterfly lays her eggs on the nettles. I’ve a clump of them that I leave in the corner of a lane. It’s like a flying circus when they emerge.
