I know the Galaxy class had and the NX class before it but I think it only had room in them because the engines were primitive and large for the ship and they needed access to that part of the ship.. What about the Constitution class Enterprise. I don't think it would have had. I am guessing here and saying the Excelsior class did not have either but that the Ambassador class might have had. For me the Nacelle room is the one room on any ship I would not like to be posted to. It always seemed kind of strange do that we never knew of this until season 7.
I doubt the Intrepid class ever had. What about any other class?

What also did you think of the Nacelles control room in the Galaxy clsss and the idea of it? I thought that was a good episode but the nacelle control room was a bit strange considering its in the warp nacelle. Actually I remember being disappointed by that the first time I seen it.

I'd imagine they ALL have, for essential maintenance etc. There's only so much re-routing one can do before there's no circuits left to re-route. I've never thought of the Constitution class in that way, with it's awkward incline for a lift to reach the nacelles, but from an engineering pov, it really must have had maintenance access.

Could access it through a transporter maybe?

To you think the intrepid class so Voyager for instance had?
With the variable geometry nacelles that might have been awkward to do.

True only so many times you can reroute before there is no more to do.

Ye maybe. That is something I have seen people say about the Oberth class secondary hull but to me I never seen a problem with an elevator or two going down to it in the connecting pylons from the primary hull.

Useless if the ship is damaged & the transporters are down though.

Yep, I think logically every ship needs to provide direct access to nacelles.

Large moving armatures will tend to have flexible cable housings to allow for stuff to still be connected / powered while the armature changes angle.

In the case of the Intrepid class, conduits from the warp-core would also need to be flexible to adjust to the angle. Probably wouldn't be a massive job to also have a flexible stretch of Jeffries Tubes near the "hinge" on that class.

When it came to classes with very thin nacelle pylons (Excelsior, Constitution refit etc...) I sort of imagine that there is just enough room for a Jeffries Tube. But I would not fancy that trip, being sandwiched between 2 sections of Outer Hull with endless vacuum on either side
