    A friend thinking of buying this old bungalow ... what sort of roof is this please ?

    Looks to be corrugated "fibre " cement sheeting, could be (very likely) asbestos fibre, especailly if constructed pre 1980. If it is asbestos there will be a significant cost associated with removing and disposing of it- something to consider carefully.
