I have a long term issue with a toe nail. I injured it a few years ago and needed surgery to remove the nail. The surgery was (to put it politely) a botched job. Ever since then, I've had an ingrown nail on that toe. And I often suffer pains in that toe. I've been to 2 different podiatrists in my area and haven't been happy with either.

Anyways I'm fed up of the situation. I just want to know if the nail can be fixed or do I need to just remove it completely and have no nail on that toe. So that's why I'm here. I don't just want to visit a podiatrist because they are the first name I see on Google or because they are in a convenient location. I want to get advice from a very reputable podiatrist. And at this stage I don't care about cost or location.

So can anyone recommend who the top podiatrists in Ireland are?

    Waldron podiatry.

Fixed my foot in 2 weeks what 2 doctors and 2 physiotherapists couldn't fix in 2 months.

Thanks for the recommendation. But do you know if Waldron Podiatry would be considered one of the top podiatrists in the country? One of the podiatrists that I have already seen was recommended to me by a few people. And he wasnt really any use to me. It seems to be a very unique issue that I have and for that reason (and because I have already wasted so much time over the past 3 years or so with other podiatrists) I'm only interested in going to someone who is considered one of the best in the country!

Gabriel Scullion. I've been going to him for years and he's very well rated. Also manufuactures orthotic devices for his and other practitioners patients.

I don't believe podiatrists are rated like restaurants. In Ireland we are very much a word of mouth country when it comes to health care (in my opinion.) So I don't think there is a list.

Coincidentally, I was talking to a friend of mine who has the a toenail issue most of her life after a car accident and she asked one of her clients (who is a podiatrist) for a recommendation for a toe nail specialist and the client also said Waldron Podiatry.

The reason why I personally speak highly of them is because Saoirse Waldron is a nerd for feet (in the best possible way.) She's at the top of her game, uses state of the art tech.

So take it for what you will.
