Saorview Connect issues.

    Hi
its about Saorview Connect (Powerpoint) box.

I bought the Saorview Connect Powerpoint box as an alternative from sky. From the time I got it to now, I feel like its all bit of a con but it is handy in some ways, and knowing im not paying any monthly fees is a bonus.

I have some issues that I am wondering if other people have experienced it too.

    On the Saorview side
    1. Screen goes blank on occasion which requires a frequent retune of Saorview. (I use an indoor Aerial and the Saorview box is updated to the latest settings) I had great signal reception before the frequency changes and despite moving the aerial around. I'm not having much luck. I am wondering if the aerial is not on the correct frequency so i am thinking about getting a new aerial but I am wondering about wireless aerials too?
    2. Recordings dont appear in the Saorview App.

Most of the issues are based on the Satellite side which I use more than the Saorview side.
    3. "Signal not available" comes up more frequently than i'd like. (I am connected to a Communal Satellite dish, and connected via two coaxial cables.)

    4. If I dare record, I can't watch anything at all "no signal appears, and I get the dreaded black screen.
I was under the impression that if you have two coaxial cables "you can record one programme while watching another"
In order to be able to watch anything whilst recording,
    - I would either go to the Saorview side and lose what I was watching on the satellite channels
    - Cancel the record or not record at all which defeats the whole purpose of having Saorview Connect.
    - Also I am wondering if anyone could advise me about the coaxial cables. I bought a 15m cable but do I need to shorten the length for a better signal reception?

The box used to freeze on occasion, but I haven’t seem to have any issues with that lately.

I dont expect Saorview Connect to be up to the standard that Sky provides but I do feel Saorview needs to improve on their services. What do you think?

Anyone can advise me please on how to fix these issues?

    Thanks.
