overhang on workshop/shed roof

    hi all
I am planning on building a shed in the back garden that measures 5m x5m internally. This is within the limits of the 25m square pp requirements.
the back wall will be lower than the front wall so there will be a single slope on the roof as opposed to a pitched roof.
I was looking to maximise the amount of rainwater catchment area I have with the roof so I was looking to make the roof overhang the actual shed, so the roof would be 6x6m square.
    is this allowed?
there will be more than 25m square left in the garden after the sheds built and it is not being built forward of our walls/boundaries etc.
the only thing is, the other side of our back fence wall, there is a dwelling within 2m of where I would like to place the back of the shed, however the height of that wall would not extend past the height of the fence.
any advice before I break ground?

Mono pitch roof. Make sure height is 4m or below.
Exemptions cover the floor area so the overhang should be ok.

6x6 of a roof is only a 500mm over hang all round so not too excessive. Just make sure you are completely within your boundary.

Sorry dont mean to hijack the thread but I too plan to build a timber shed in the garden,
Does the 25sqm rule apply to the external footprint of the building on the ground or the internal floor area ?
