Reading a lot of conflicting messages online.

I'm building a deck, and it will be elevated to account for a slight slope. The posts will be approx 40cm above the ground. How far down should be dug to set the posts with postcrete?

    Thanks

I'd be digging them in 450mm. That is allowing 150mm for the surface dross and topsoil and 300mm firm embedment.
