Hi lads,we’ve recently set up a gun club,we have quite a few farmers permissions to hunt on there land but a few are asking for some form of document or letter stating our insurance, names etc!!
Any ideas or links on a sample letter that we could use please!
    Thanks in advance!

Did you do a group scheme?, if so as well as your membership cards you should be able to get a letter from the insurance company. Copy this and hand them out.

If you have individual insurances, then who ever is Secretary should record these and inform the farmers as such.

If you are NARGC Club you can forward a copy of the hand books given out to new members. This outlines the compensation scheme.

When some of our farmers met lads on the land they were told by them that they were gun club members.

Landowner had no idea with some if they were members or not.

We gave farmers a blown up coloured scan of a NARGC membership card.

It shows the farmer the persons name, club & if the card is stillin date.

All club members were told to carry the card at all times when on gun club land and to produce it when asked - the farmers were informed of this and encouraged to ask to see lads cards.
