I see that Google finally released the pixel buds 2 today but sadly only in USA. Anyone know of the global release date or if has Google done this previously and if so what was the timescale difference between USA launch and global release?

Don't think there is a release date confirmed outside for of USA at all.

Usual stuff from Google, outside US they aren't that interested. Can't even buy them in Canada.

On sale here in Ireland now. I had mine sent over by a friend in USA. Would highly recommend them.

    Just ordered mine too!

My daughter ordered them yesterday and they arrived this morning! Unfortunately, while she was able to listen to music and talk to Assistant, they would not work for calls out of the box. A firmware update and factory-reset was required to fix it. She is thrilled with them, particularly how small they were, but I have to say it was not a great user experience.

Ordered a few minutes ago, 17th to 20th delivery date. Hopefully they are here by Friday. Anyone who had them delivered, who did they come with?

Did anyone else get these and how do they find them? Feel close to pulling the trigger but wondering are issues common or isolated.

Holding out for the black ones, hate white tech. My jaybird freedoms bit the dust and I'm having to use my Sony wh-1000xm3 which are big bulky and awkward. Hopefully they release them soon.

Black ones would be nice would also be my preference but wouldn't be surprised if they are not here this side of Christmas if at all. I think the bigger markets will get more options.

I got these the other day. I haven't experienced any of the reported bluetooth drop outs but i'm getting constant static when they're in use. It's not a big problem outside but in a quiet environment it's seriously annoying.

Could have gotten a faulty pair. Mine are perfect.

Saw a review on BBC's Click programme, where he said that he could hear a constant hissing. His roommate couldn't hear anything though. Your hearing might be too good!

Nah, I'd be seriously worried about anyone who couldn't hear this! It's too widespread an issue for me to have any faith that a replacement would be any different.

I have the Airpods Pro at the minute too and I'm trying to decide which to send back. I want to love the Pixel Buds but the Airpods are in a different league, even though I've had a few minor issues with Android integration.

Definitely no hissing or background noise on mine and i only had a hearing test at the start of the year.

Black buds are now available, but for Europe only the UK seem to have them. Just ordered a pair from John Lewis, €207 with international shipping and exchange rate conversion.

Playing around with them for a while. Liking them so far. Was surprised at the weight of the case, plus it's disappointing that the case is in white even though the buds are black. Buds are nice and light in the ear and the new firmware helps with the bass. Looking for some foam tips, Comply don't have a set that fit yet. Might just wait until they release some.

Any issues with hissing or 110 sec drops or bad connectivity?

Mine are working perfectly, no issues so far.

Mine are working well. I've had 2 dropouts one on the left bud only and then one where both dropped, the video auto paused when this happened and then about 3 seconds later restarted after they reconnected.

I'm well use to dropouts from my bose soundsport free I got when they came out. The left one drops on that frequently when out running, barely even pay attention to it doing it :)

I'm impressed do far, sound quality ain't going to blow you away but I've my overear headphones for that. These are perfect for out and about and walking around the office.

Anybody else find you have to turn the volume up fairly high before they are loud enough?

Is there a volume control on the buds themselves?
I had the same problem with a pair of earbuds and I turned them up on the actual earbuds and volume was fine.... Really one of those.. Hey stupid moments :-)
