    How long are people waiting for planning during this current situation with covid-19? We are sending in our application next week and wondering if people are waiting longer than the 12weeks. TIA

    Planning Department - COVID-19 Arrangements
    See attached Frequently Asked Questions from the Department of Housing, Planning & Local Government 16/04/20 FAQ
    Section 251A of the Planning & Development Act 2000 as amended is being implemented by Dublin City Council which for the planning
    process is that the period from 29th March 2020 to 9th May 2020 inclusive is disregarded when calculating any specified statutory timelines
    in the Planning Acts and associated regulations. The following is the current situation:
    Applications received up to and including the 20th March 2020
    These are available to view online with all associated documentation (i.e. scanned).
    Applications received 21st March up to and including the 8th April 2020
    The majority are available to view online with all associated documentation (i.e. scanned) and it is intended to have the balance online as soon as possible.
    Applications received after 9th April 2020
    A brief description of the proposed development is available to view online but not the associated documentation. This documentation will be made available as soon as possible.
    The majority of staff are working from home so if you wish to contact any section please email planning@dublincity.ie giving a brief description of your query and your contact details so that it can be directed to the appropriate person/section.
