Birds fighting in garden?

Hi all. This past 10 days I've found 3 bird corpses around the garden. Birds looked like they were injured in a fight, then died.

Garden has lots of trees in close proximity, with lots of nests. There's a few different types of species but crow is the only one I recognise tbh.

There's always lots of activities with noise's etc, which I'm used to. But the death thing has never happened before this spring.

Does anyone know what could be causing it?

    Are there cats around?

Hi. Yes there are. Next door there are feral cats which they feed.

I would imagine that's the answer.

Peregrine falcon, too? It depends on what condition the carcasses were in. There was a thread (yesterday, I think) about it.

    Edit: Here it is https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2058073571

Thanks all. It may well be cats, I found another today, hidden away by the oil tank.

Like it was hidden there on purpose tbh. Food for another time or something idk.

Is there a way to stop the cats coming into your garden? I hate it when they kill birds. If it's the feral cats, then they are clearly not hungry.

Unfortunately not. Next door feed them & they pass through ours.
Sometimes 5 or 6 at a time are hanging around!

Hopefully they are not using your garden as their toilet. Very toxic to small kids.
