    As above

Is May day seen as a public holiday in Ireland?

We are closed Monday because its a Bank Holiday but we are working May day(and always do)

Are you working or do you always get it off?

In Ireland it's always on the first Monday of May so this year the 4th.

There are a few people based in Ireland but who are supporting customers in other countries which have a public holiday on the 1st.

These people (not including me) will likely be taking the public holiday on the 1st instead of the 4th. The rest will be working, because it's just a regular work day.

In ireland, most bank holidays are done on the monday, except for st Patrick's, christmas, Stephen's and new years. Although they get adjusted if the fall on the weekend.
