Yes very sad, what a horrible way to go. I've noticed drivers to be driving like lunatics with less traffic on the roads

Comments building up on the journal already. There were a good few deaths on the roads since this lockdown started, especially at the start, a couple of teenagers in separate incidents. You get 3 or 4 comments going RIP Bless de angles on those articles but anything to do with a cyclist and people are fuming about how dangerous they are. Give me strength.

I'm always annoyed with the framing of these stories.

"Cyclist Dies In Collision With Car".

How about: "Cyclist Killed By *Driver Of Car*" ???

You'd swear the car was self-driving the way media outlets phrase their headlines.

    RIP.

In fairness they can't imply fault lies with the driver if they don't know fault lies with the driver. And they don't know that and neither do ye, so getting angry that they aren't saying something that might not be true is a bad faith argument.

It "might not be true" that someone was driving the car? Can you say that again?

Saying someone was driving the car implies nothing other than there was someone driving the car.

It is actually more fault-based to say the cyclist collided with the car.

But hey, the cyclist is dead, and couldn't be reached for comment.

Yeah, we should be angry about this. We need to upend the car-based world we live in.

Just watch, the driver will probably only lose their license.
