Fixing squeaky chipboard suggestions

Upstairs landing of a house that has squeaky chipboard floor in a few places.
It has a good carpet on it for at least 10 years but can't see/find any nails in it so not sure how it's attached to floor at the walls.
Any suggestions as to what I could do to get under the carpet to fix the chipboard but want to avoid, if possible, taking the carpet off as I know that will end in disaster trying to get it back on as tight as it was?

There is nothing you can do without removing the carpet.

    Thanks.
Did a bit of searching and came across this gadget in America.
    Works with carpet on top.
On the off chance, anybody knows anything about it, good or bad, let me know.
I can get it shipped over at cost so might be a runner as there's nothing else around.
