Shallow Well Problem

I just noticed that the pipe taking the water from the shallow well to the pump has a small cut in it and I see the water hissing out of the pipe.

Would it be ok to repair it with a joiner. I could access it from the top of the well?

Yes, preferably use a joiner with an internal diameter not less than the bore of the pipe.
