Should a jigsaw be earthed

    The end of my jigsaw cable was frayed near the plug so I cut it off to fit a new plug further up, it has no earth, although it a good few years old it's a bosch and always worked well

    Most likely "Double Insulated" so no earth is needed.

    (look for a symbol of a square inside a square)

    Sure enough that symbol is just under the handle, I'll keep it as a spare but intend upgrading, thanks
