Has anyone else noticed this new phenomenon where the roads are so quiet due to lockdown that you'll regularly meet some complete and utter ar$3hole doing 140 kmph on a Country road cause they think they're all alone......Had a genuine scare yesterday aftenoon from some Moron that was far too close for comfort.

Yes, noticed this unfortunately. All brilliant drivers no doubt, as long as they can use both sides of the road, that is...

Not currently in Ireland but noticed the same over here in Canada. Cops are tied up or otherwise looking the other way. Utter lunacy on city streets and residential roads at times.

And here was me thinking this thread was going to be about the Nurburgring re-opening tourist days during COVID and the temptation to make the trip :D

Normally BMW owners are model drivers, that’s so strange.

They are reopening... And I so want to go back. Pulling the Fiat Cinquecento project into the shed in a couple of weeks for a strip down... Maybe it gets a Hayabusa engine.. maybe it goes to Germany on the trailer... Ahhjh post lockdown dreams...

N25 this morning, on the 120Km/h section into the city. Bmw stuck to the ass of a mustang. Both easily doing well over the ton(in old monies)
    Clearly trained drivers..

Don't think I've seen Audi spelled like that before.

Just saw a Garda on Crimecall observing that there had been some recent incidents of really excessive speed, e.g. 150 km/h on Mespil Rd, a 50 zone.

Just hope the mustang doesn't have better breaks!
