The light pollution in my back garden is pretty dire. Even on the darker nights it is hard to get a good view. The whole of Dublin seems the same, anyone know if the viewing from Dunsink Observatory is any better compared to regular light pollution in an estate that is?

From the light pollution maps it doesn't look like it would be...

Also would it worth investing in any Light Pollution Filters for a DSLR? Iv'e been looking into them but any comparisons Iv'e seen don't look good as a selling point.
