    Hi Guys,

I want to buy the Sims 4 (don't judge) and I'm so confused by the EA website. I can't understand the Origin access thing. Is there any benefit to buying it over just buying and downloading the game?

Origin Access - there are a limited few games included and discounts on others. But generally for most games you are purchasing them on top of paying for Origin Access. but get a discount. In my opinion not worth it.

Origin Access Premier - Pretty much the entire EA catalog is included to download, so the likes of the Sims etc. would come with all add on packs available. The important thing here is that you are buying a monthly or yearly subscription to Origin Access Premier . At the end of the month or year if you do not renew you will lose access to the games ( unless you purchased them seperately)

My view on it is as follows -

Calculate the cost of the games + addons you are looking for . For example lets say that amounts to €100 . Origin Access Premier might cost you €80 for the year access. For most games you may not be interested in still playing them after a year so losing accessing is not a big deal in 12 months time, or else you could renew. The good thing with premier is it gives you access to loads of other games for the year including any new releases from EA.

A third option would be to buy the game from a legitimate third party such as CDkeys . For example the sims 4 is €15 on their website and they are all above board. They will then send you a key you can type into origin and you will get access to the game , but any addons need to be seperately purchased.

Ah gotcha. Ok so, sounds like origin access is not for me. I'm not a huge gamer - don't like shooter games etc. I really only play games like Sims, animal crossing etc so I think that would be a waste of money.

    Thanks for the advice!

I edited and gave another option on my previous response that might suit you better.

And just to clarify if you go for that option , if you havent already you download the origin app from the EA website to your pc and install it. Purchase the game from CD Keys, they will email you the key within the hour, then type the key into the correct location on the origin app and it will add sims 4 to your library.
