Given that we are potentially going to be in lockdown/ some version of restricted movement for a while to come, online shopping is going to become more required.
Avoiding Amazon, what are your favourite online stores, particularly Irish, for electronic, clothes, books etc....

Screwfix.ie is good for DIY stuff. Not trading last time I looked though.

    Have you tried Amazon?

Amazon wins because you can choose to buy stuff with free delivery. Most irish online sellers postal charges are too high.

Since the restrictions have been in place, we've bought stuff online from Harvey Norman, H&M, and PC World.

Some of it may actually be shipping from the UK though.

Whenever possible I avoid buying from Amazon, so I'll look up the products on their site and then find the business in the UK/Ireland that's selling it on Amazon and just buy it directly from them. Might cost a bit more on delivery, but **** Amazon.

For sports stuff - wiggle.co.uk - free shipping to Ireland over €30
More sports stuff - bulkpowders.ie - vitamins, supplements etc
Even more sports stuff - mandmdirect.ie
    Gardening - quickcrop.ie
    More gardening - https://futureforests.ie/
    Yet more gardening - https://www.thegardenshop.ie/
One more gardening (high recommendation) - https://www.realseeds.co.uk/
Printer stuff - very competitive, very quick delivery - https://www.123ink.ie/
Computer stuff - https://cpcireland.farnell.com/ , quick delivery, as good as, if not better than, amazon pricing.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

I've dealt with Soundstore, Micksgarage and Currys/PC World. They all work well enough, but note that a lot of Curry's gear comes from England via DPD courier, so they're not the quickest and usually charge for delivery.

I'm not looking for anything in particular at the moment, but would like to support Irish businesses when i do need something, so I would rather not support Amazon.
I am not fanatical, about it, but i think where possible it would be nice to consciously support smaller stores.

Bought ink cartridges and this company were the cheapest when I had a search online (at the time I ordered they offered 5% off first order as well). Quick delivery as well.
