Can anyone help me here. We built a new house got issued an eircode. The eircode on eircode finder brings you to our house but there’s no house showing just a red dot. But put it in google maps it brings you to the wrong house. We are a year in the house and the satellite image of the house still doesn’t appear even thought the ordinance survey guy came out at the beginning. We can’t get internet or anything

The OS has zip to do with G maps, who use satellite images maybe every 3 years for rural areas.

    .
get onto google about the coding error.

What has that got to do with Eircode?

That’s how they determine the location now. It’s a computer says no situation. Know a girl in an estate with no eircode and she’s waiting since last year for a reply from eir.

    Honestly, didnt know that, thanks.

OP - I presume your Eircode works in the sense that if someone sent a letter to you with JUST your Eircode on it, it will get delivered.

Don’t think the last mile bit of An Post actually use the eircode or have means of verifying them. Think it’s used at the sorting stage.
    Might be wrong on that.

No they are being brought to a house at the end of our road. We go onto google maps and report the error numerous times and it’s never changed and we can’t get a contact number oR email for them it’s been a nightmare for over a year. Honestly the broadband company’s will not come near us and we are working from home. Houses both side of ours have fibre to the home it’s unreal. I have no idea who to contact

You could look at LTE wireless type setup.

To add your Eircode on Google Maps please follow the steps:
    1. Please open the Google maps and locate your house, then right click on your house location and select "What's here?";
    2. Click on the address and/or coordinates that will appear at the bottom of the screen.
    3. Then from the hamburger menu click on " Send Feedback"
    4. Choose "Wrong Address"
    5. Fill out your address and new Eircode
    6. Then click Send.

If you read a few threads on here : https://support.google.com/maps/search?hl=en&q=Eircode&from_promoted_search=true

I had to do the above to add the eircode to my house.

I did that a few months ago for my house, and it shows up when you search for the address. However, if you search for the Eircode it doesn't exist.

I find google maps can be weird with or with out a space in the Eircode. Just watch out for that.
