Hello, i have been waiting on a carers allowance application which was put in on the 6th of September 2018. A long time ago i know, i have called alot in that time but it was finally awarded today as i can see on mygov.ie. Just waiting on the letter with the info and i know it usually says that arrears will be paid at a later date but i dont think it says how much arrears. What im wondering is will it be backdated to September 2018 or will it only be backdated 6 months? I dont think 6 months would be very fair after leaving it for 19 months.
