Silly question is this immigration ban for people looking to live in America or does it extend to future tourists?

It's a ban on immigration, not tourism, but who knows how things will be in the future. I'd imagine though that it would be coming back to Ireland from the US that there might be delays if any.

Right now it's just a Tweet. There are zero details so impossible to know anything for sure.

Defintely this, some days he tweets up to 80 times per day. Probably wastes several hours of his time every day just sitting there tweeting instead of doing the actual job.

There's been no details released of the proposed "ban" as far as I know. Most likely any such plans would affect immigrants, not visitors, though with Trump it's certainly possible he doesn't actually comprehend the difference. A lot of immigration-related processing in the US is currently shut down or in limbo anyway due to office closures and suspensions of various programs for operational reasons, so it's unlikely such a "ban" would have much effect anyway (on immigration itself, that is; it would certainly have zero effect on the spread of COVID-19). It's most likely just Trump trying to rile up his base to blame the "foreigners" for their woes, as usual. Probably he'll spend his next few COVID-19 press conferences rambling about his "beautiful wall" and how immigrants are stealing American jobs or some such nonsense.

    Tourists aren't immigrants.
