Thats not the correct email address: be careful here.

If you didn't do anything then nothing should issue to you. That email address doesn't look correct and the emails from ROS/MyAccount normally state you have a message not what the message is.

Check your online account and forward the email via my to Revenue. Include the email address it came from etc.

    Yes it is.

I got the same email straight after filing a tax return three weeks ago. Same address, same subject line.

Log into your Revenue account (using your own bookmark) and see if you see anything odd (or if you're able to log into myAccount at all; if you've been somehow switched to ROS, you might not be able to). If everything looks good in your own account, I wouldn't worry about it; it's possible someone else has just accidentally used your email address in their own ROS account. You could try contacting Revenue about it, but odds are they won't be able to do anything, as they aren't going to change a user's contact information on the say-so of some random stranger (or so I'd hope, anyway!).

(Also, as a gmail early adopter I really wish more services, especially sensitive ones like government offices and financial institutions, would implement proper email verification for their customers, because I'm tired of getting random people's sensitive documents all the time. I guess those places don't want to pay the cost of the additional customer service staff that would be required to walk a bunch of OAPs and other technologically-challenged individuals through opening an email and clicking on a link to activate their account, though...)

Have you ever signed up with one of the sites like taxback.com or irishtaxrebates ? If you have ever used them in the past they can run submit returns for you.

Are you sure you wouldn't get this mail without filling your tax return? It can be a coincident. They might do it just in time for completing tax returns.
