New Milk Tank Question

New milk tank required, bigger capacity needed.
Going to go for the 60% grant and looking like we will get a nice trade in for the existing tank.
Will not fit anything bigger in the existing dairy so have to go for a new small building to house the tank if its an indoor type.
Planning is required for an outdoor silo.
My question is say if we went for a small building to house the tank say 6m long x 3m wide, keeping the 600mm clearance all around for tank grant and installing PVC panelling etc, will we need planning permission for this?
Or has any1 gone down this route?

Is it a new build? I extended the dairy out to fit in the new tank. It juts out a bit but it's grand

Same here, made it 10 feet wider and lifted the roof. The tanks can come in various shapes for the same volume as well. How does the outdoor silo compare on cost with the indoor tank? If there isn't much in it may be as well off applying for planning if you can wait a bit. The grant will slow it down anyway
