Was looking at introducing a paddock grazing sytem on the farm to improve grassland management, usually run the ewes in 2 groups of 50, or as is the case this year 60 40, along with a batch of hoggets for breeding next year, was thinking of divinding the fields into 2 acre paddocks with permanent fencing and then have the option of sub-dividing with electric feencing if neccessary. What would the ideal paddock size be for 50 ewes and approximatly 1.7 lambs. What else needs to be considered before comminting to permanent wire? Water supply already in place just require extra troughs. Would also like to be able to cater for larger groups if neccessary.

We've one acre paddocks for 86 ewes, they last about two days, it usually works alright but growth is slow this year. 2-3 day paddocks are supposed to be optimum as after 3 days they're eating the new growth.
It's mostly electrified netting apart from the hedges
