Hi all just looking for any advice as i found a hedgehog 3 days ago in our garden and it seems quite wobbly/unstable and at times just shuts down in the spot to rest.
I have tried feeding it some greens and fruit on a plate and left water but it seems to just go round them.
I know they usually come out of hibernation now and have read similar symptoms of them when going in to it.
I have brought him back to the garden end which is long enough but gradually it makes its way back towards the gate area over night say were on to the road im afraid it'll end up,but it does show energy to do so which is good.
Gorgeous looking guy just hope its ok,i rang RSPCA and they have put it on a Whatsapp if anyone is near by with our details etc.

They would prefer cat or dog food, than greens or fruit, he looks healthy his eye is good and bright

Not usually a good sign if they are out during the day. They don't eat fruit or veg, put out some cat or dog food as mentioned above and some water. Preferably wet food rather than kibble.

I think someone posted a number for someone who does hedgehog rescue on here before, will see if I can find it when I'm back at a PC though not sure if they will still be operating with everything that's going on.

Being out during the day is not a good sign usually. As mentioned, try cat food or dog food. Also try ringing Kildare animal rescue or hedgehog rescue Dublin for advice.

Hi guys thanks all for the input but little Henry is gone on to a vets,I had a call back from Rscpa and they had a member transport him to a local vet who seemingly has a few other hedgehogs there too ðŸ‘
He is on a soft release so we can get him back if he perks up soon which we’d love to 😎
