Recently bought a house, had a little bit of renovation to do, just bought some laminate flooring for the downstairs (70 m2) . Got it all for 1200.

A neighbour of mine is a floorer but I know he won't charge so anyone here know what it would usually be to put down a laminate floor on 70m2 downstairs? All previous carpets etc have already been removed. I want to just throw him a fair amount

I’d say about €15-€18 a square metre would be in the ballpark if you were hiring someone in to do it.

Probably varies between Dublin/cork and everywhere else.
We had some done about 2 months ago, quotes varied between €8 to €12 a sq m for just installation
