Importing client list into sharepoint as Groups

I want to import a client list into sharepoint by creating and individual group for each client. This way each client will have it’s own group and it’s own Team for chat and correspondence etc.

The problem I have is that the current client list sits on a shared drive in windows with a folder for each client and there is existing info within each client folder.

Do I have to manually create a Group for each client in sharepoint and then copy and paste the data over or can I import the client list and all it’s info which also creates a site in sharepoint?
