    Hi all,
Need a bit of help.I decided to post in this forum after searching boards and the posters in here might be more familiar with this unit.

Since this lockdown Ive become a "buy crap on adverts and restore it specialist"
So far Ive completed the arcade machine that I bought on adverts (pics attached) and various 70s furniture.

Next up is the Pilot Radiogram that I picked up this week.
    Im looking to see if

    1. Can someone identify the model. There are no markings on it at all and Ive trawled through the vintage radio forums for 2 days but to no avail. I want to see if theres any schematics out there for it. I "may" try to use the old electronics but I think this thing has a live chassis in. Im ok when it comes to fault finding on newer stuff but this has tubes in and to be completely honest looks dangerous to mess about with.

    2. This isn't for resale or anything but to go somewhere in the house. If I cant get it running on its original electronics I want to replace everything with newer equipment including Bluetooth / amazon echo.

    Anyone got any pointers.

    Thanks

It looks like that one alright. Case is different but there were variations on it.
Either way I think Im going to replace the electronics with modern stuff.I don't fancy messing around with something this old.

    Hi Hellrazer,

I am also doing something very similar, have done some arcade machines in the past and have an old Philips vintage radio to restore too.

A few things to note so far from my research.
In my case with Philips and possibly yours with Pilot/Brownlee there are different variants between country, im guessing due to different frequencies or parts.

It seems easy enough once you get the schematics.
I got some good help on https://www.vintage-radio.net/
A guy in Edenderry actually had the physcial schematic of the irish variant of the model i was looking for. He took some pics and sent them to me.

    Best of luck,
    Ed

EDIT : Chassis looks the same as this : https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2072
