Probably not what your after but I recently bought a Henry Hoover after having a Dyson years. OH MY GOD the difference. The suction is INCREDIBLE even when the bag is 70% full
Bag changing I only need to do every few months.
    Brilliant powered roller brush.
Fantastic for car cleaning. Just an all round cracking little unit.

I do think I want to go bagless if possible.
I worked in a hotel before and we had Henry's on the go. They were alright but if I got one it always remind me of the place.

Bagless machines seem like a good idea, till you empty one into your wheelie bin on a windy day.

Also you'll be cleaning filters & sh1t that you never knew existed.

Went back to bag with a Henry. Great machine. A little awkward on the stairs though.

Also, if you buy one, get rid of the floor tool. It's arse.

Get a Turbo-brush for it and you're good to go.:)

Another thing with bagless as soon as they start to fill i notice the performace drops off suction wise. My Henry bag is 80% full yet it still has amazing suction. When I would vacumn my house with a Dyson I would have to do 2 or 3 empties, was such a pain, and the puff of dust when you empty it in the bin was nasty too

Dysons seem to divide opinion. Some people love them, others hate them.

I've never heard of professional cleaners using them though. They seem to go for Nilfisks and Henrys.

I know when I worked in hotels and studied it at college. We were told that when they purchased hoovers they had to get a different motor fitted if it wasn't an industrial one to deal with the capacity and not all companies supplied them.
    I hated Henrys.

Can’t beat a Miele, sure they’re bagged but the bags aren’t that dear and they’re a beast of a yoke, they don’t look stupid, and don’t take up too much space.

Miele is one I might consider but the person I'm mainly buying it for has a thing against bagged vacuums!

My advice would be NOT to buy a Dyson.

Had a cordless one of theirs and it spends most of the time pushing dirt around rather than lifting it. The battery is now dead after about 4 years.....lasts about 30sec now. Piece of junk..

My corded Miele on the other hand.....

They are all limited these days. Old ones a probably better.

I wouldn't bother with any of those cordless ones!

    My main experience is with
    Henry which I hated.
Various brands of bagged hovers over the years and none were great but they were cheap.
Dysons which were good enough but that may have being compared to the others.

Aye, their brand is Inspire, and there's a red Home and grey business version.

A tip on the stairs you can actually get a 5 meter suction hose that will do from your hallway up to the landing while leaving the Henry at the bottom
The only con is that it cuts down the suction power to the power brush. you cant feel any suction loss with your hand over the suction hose but the power brush slows down a lot on the carpet, but power wise even with the loss of suction its still as good as many other units

I ended ended up getting the Dyson Ball animal 2 with a free V7 Trigger. It should last us years.

Thanks for the advice but If I had Henry in the house I’d be having nightmares with those eyes.
