im very tempted to buy a new Sinn pilot 104, always liked the look of them, I know there meant to be well made, does any 1 have any thoughts on same, it uses the sellita sw200 movement, would they drop in value much etc?

I'd be a fan of Sinn myself P. As to value drop, most brands will take a hit selling on, some more than others. Tbh I don't know where Sinn would lay in that regard.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

There is a Sinn 104 on Chrono24 that's on the fine steel bracelet for €980. 1400 ish new from Sinn.

The next cheapest on the bracelet is €1290 on Chrono24.

There are a decent amount on leather straps for around a grand.

Hopefully the dealers will cut you a break on a new one but as Sinn also sell direct, it might not be huge.

I have a U2 myself and love it, quite different from the 104 tho.
Sinn make a fabulous watch IMO.

U2 is a stunning watch but my budget wont reach and my marriage wouldn't survive ;);)

I picked mine up ridiculously cheap from a mate who was closing his dive business down.

If I'd paid anywhere near even 2nd hand fair value and my wife found out..
I'd be on the same boat as you :pac:

The trick is to say you got it second hand on some dodgy website and it was really cheap because the guy thought it was broken but you knew it was a simple thing to fix :pac:

If anyone wants any more amazing excuses like this, it's €5 to my PayPal

If you tell my wife this lore...
I may have to hunt you down and fillet you...
    Slowly :pac:

Time to delete my boards account in case she ever finds my ID and realizes those watches are not from AliExpress!!!
