Sorry I wasn't looking for salary scales, was looking for say how many Staff officers are there in Kerry County Council or Clare County Council for example

Look up county council website and then their annual report, it will give you a breakdown of staff etc. Its a long report but well worth a read if interested in local government. It should be under publications. Lgas website also has a lot of information on individual county councils but more from a code of ethics perspective. Some services are provided through service agreements and admin side different than amenities etc.
