Hi all, i have a Stihl chainsaw for the last two years. very good condition, hardly used. Before xmas while cutting the chainsaw got stuck on high revs, a lot higher then full throttle, so high the chain started to come lose slowly. i thought the throttle was stuck so i removed the cover to have a look. Hi all, i have a Stihl chainsaw for the last two years. very good condition, hardly used.

Before xmas while cutting the chainsaw got stuck on high revs, a lot higher then full throttle, so high the chain started to come lose slowly. i thought the throttle was stuck so i removed the cover to have a look. I could see noting stuck or broken.

Took it to where i bought it a few weeks ago as the problem is still there and when they started it in the workshop it ran fine, they gave a general look over but could find nothing wrong. Think the car journey knocked something lose.

Been using it for a few weeks and again the problem pops up. revving dangerously high.

Anyone experience this type of problem before.
