Hey, I hope someone can help me, i have Eir FTTH 150mb and TV. I currently use there supplied modem F2000. I have and would like to use a Archer C5400X (Tp-Link) router instead.

I cant get it to connect to the internet, I tried to setup the new router by using PPPOE and the user name and password Eir gave me (eircom @ eircom.net and broadband1). I have also seen the setting for Internet VLAN and set this to 10 but still no good.

Can anyone try steer me in the right direction or will this even work with the Eir network?

Are you setting 802.11q VLAN tagging in the IPTV section?

So, the internet is working perfect, but I'm having issues with EIR TV. I have the older black box EIR TV not the new apple TV. The issue is sometimes when I turn on EIR TV the picture will be perfect but will freeze after approx. 2-3 minutes. Randomly when I turn on the TV I can also have no picture/just a black screen however I can see all channel info, i.e. what on now and guide.

It has not worked correctly since changing the router. When I install the original EIR router all works OK, has anyone come across this before or know what settings in router I would need to change?

You may be able to flick a toggle for IGMP and that'll make it work but no guarantees. Really for TV customers Id never suggest replacing the F2/3000 just adding an AP and disabling its own wifi because it gets messy.

The TV itself is Multicast, the EPG is regular unicast traffic. Thats why one works one doesnt.
