New Guidance on Rushes and BPS

    Farming Indo reporting today that the Department has issued new guidance on Rush cover and BPS claims. From now on farmers will not be penalised for having large rush covers once evidence of grazing is present. This has been brought in due to mounting concerns about the contamination of ground and surface waters due to excessive use of MCPA sprays. About time a bit of commonsense on BPS measures has started to be applied!!

    Should be the same for areas of briars and whins. Think of all the nature at work in there.

    That’s a great start.
    As above, some allowance on scrub would be positive.

    Sad to see it all being rubbed out with diggers through fear.
