    HI,
My company shut down temporarily so I am receiving the COVID19 payment but I also have my own solo-trading freelancing "business". Can I legally do the latter while receiving the payment - I mean sending invoices and receive payments? My gut feeling says no but just wanted to double check...

Not advocating anything here but you could hold off on invoicing for a couple of months (if you know what I mean)

For the self-employed, the condition for receiving COVID payment is that your work has declined to the extent that you would be able to take up other full-time work if this was available.

I don't see any contradiction in invoicing for work which was done previously, or doing some minimal work that would not impact on your ability to take up other full-time work. However, if in doubt, declare all information to the authorities to ensure you do not end up with an overpayment/fraud allegation in the future.
