    Hi all
Thinking of a getting a few sheep for 2-3 acres of land

How many would be sufficient in terms of ewes and lambs?
What's the best sheep type or common type?
    Do I need herd number?

You need a flock number and a pen to get started. If i was you id start with 5/6 ewes til you get the hang of it. Dont spend big money on the first few as these will be for learning. Buy something hardy like mules.
