Virgin set top box: Audio Guidance?

Hi all - my neighbour is visually impaired and owns an LG TV (32lk6100plb) with a Virgin media set top box (which looks pretty new).

The TV can speak the volume changes but the channel is coming from the set top box on HDMI (so the TV says "HDMI 1" out loud, but that's not very useful). Does any know do those set top boxes provide audio guidance information or other accessibility features? If changing the channel said "BBC 1" out loud, it would be rather useful!

    Thanks.
