Vpn and BBC iPlayer

Hi all I have Nord VPN and I have downloaded the APK for BBC iPlayer on my Android phone I have heard that I need to configure my Virgin Media Router in order to cast to my TV anybody have similar issues to this? Casting will not work while connected to Nord VPN to my TV
