No sure if there is a better forum. Happy to have this moved.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
    List price 1379

Shop in Donegal selling for 829, delivered to Dublin, brand new in unopened box. Not shop soiled, ex demmo, or reconditioned.

They want bank transfer & no Paypal. Stinks to high heaven to me sitting here in Dublin

Is there a phone shop on Moss Road, Gort Glebe, Carndonagh called The Phone Store? Could this possibly be genuine?

Cant help myself as Carn is 40 miles from me and ts 20 years since I've been in the place but the ad sounds like a scam. New seller on Donedeal...Id be careful.

Google street view images go back to 2011 / 2012 but the image on the ad seems to be of a shop front on an old 2 storey building. If this link works you can see Moss Road and if you follow it there are no buildings like that

Thanks for the reply. I figure it's a scam myself but thought I'd check it out. It's the price that got me suspicious. If it sounds too good to be true then it usually is too good to be true. He refused PayPal even though I offered to pay the 30 euro fees for him. There's no way I'm transferring over 800 to an invisible man. Not on CRO, Facebook, google business or any online presence at all

Yeah, it smacks of a scam especially given the additional info you provided. Im not saying it is for sure but there's a couple of forum regulars who would know that area and should be able to confirm the existence of the shop ... or not.

I'll be in Carn tomorrow and will check it out for you.

There was definitely a new phone shop opened in the last couple of years in Carn, in fact it just moved to bigger and more modern premises at the start of the year iirc.

I'll take a photo of it, perhaps it's the one that's advertising on DD?

Edit...Just had a quick search and this is the shop I'm was talking about, it's a PhonesAndMore outlet

    https://m.facebook.com/www.phonesandmore.ie/

Funny it's address is the same? Gort Glebe?

    Is this the advert?

That is definitely not a shop front I have seen in Carndonagh. So tread carefully.

Looks dodgy. Tesco mobile number for a phone store???

Here's a place around the corner (carndonagh is quite small) https://www.phonesandmore.ie/

Call them and ask if they know of this seller.

Then assuming they don't, report the advert.

Edit - it's a scam or at least the photo is ripped off

He dosent have a shop front as such he works from a garage behind the house
and his address would be Gort

You can also find him on facebook

I'm happy to say Donedeal acted within hours & have removed all of this chaps ads. That doesn't mean he wont be back under a different name but I'm impressed at how quickly they acted.
