Vw 2.0 tdi 2013 dpf

    Would it be good idea to get dpf cleaned/ ash content out and computer reset before it reaches it ash content level.any one recommend good place that clean them ?
    Anyone in trade/ mechanic think it be good prevented maintenance .or just leave it alone


    (Before anyone start my driving Style is perfect for diesel 2 hours + a day of good fast driving)

    Is this about a car that your planning on buying? I wouldn’t go spending €100’s cleaning a DPF that may well be completely empty of particulate matter. If you know someone who can do a forced regen handy by plugging their laptop in then why not but if not I wouldn’t bother spending money on it. Even if the DPF is slightly blocked your driving style should un block it fairly quickly

    As above, relation had a 2010 Golf with the same 2 hours fast drive each day and put up 300K + kms without missing a beat, strange thing was VCDS showed that it did a regen based on time even though it never seemed to be reflected in economy and always appeared to do it while on "the run" and only once or twice in the 9 years did he hear the fan overrun after stopping.

    Yeah have it good few months now. .Probably leave it alone if not broken don't fix it .
