Hi, I run a retail store and as part of a display I have a TV that show promo videos for companies that we deal with.
I would like to be able to watch 6 nations matches, Galway races, all Ireland final, the odd soccer match.
Anyone know what the easiest, cheapest, legal way of doing this might be?
    Any advice welcome.

No. That's not something you can legally do. Especially if you intend it to be customer facing.

Pubs pay a premium way above home users to broadcast live sports to their customers. The amount they pay is determined by the size of the pub, turnover etc.

I can't point you n the direction of a specific law but here's a section of Eir's PPV terms which would be the same with any other service
    9. What you must not do

    a. You must not do, or allow anyone else to do, the following:

    i. Save as explicitly permitted by applicable law or as part of the Service under this Agreement, make unauthorised or unlawful recordings of any Contentor copy, publish, rent out, reproduce, redistribute, relay, exploit, transmit, alter, interfere with or receive any payment in connection with the relevant software or any Content you watch, stream or download from the Service.

ii. Reproduce any recording made using your set-top box or made from the Service.

iii. Distribute, broadcast or otherwise transfer any Content to another person in any way.

iv. Display any part of the service in retail, business or commercial premises or for any business purpose.

If it's for internal use, you could use RTE Player or whatever but I would presume you must have a TV license.

    Thanks for the reply.
    Yeah have TV licence.
The TV would be customer facing.
Some days when the likes of the 6 nations matches are on we get very quiet so it was just to have it on in the background.
I had thought of switching from business to home broadband and getting the sports pack and watching it that way.
But I don't want to do something illegal.
