I'd say Ferrari lawyers will be all over it for use of the name.

Their contact up webpage looks all wrong.

    "Visit Us
    The Ferrari Experience,
Junction 6 Health and Leisure Centre,
    Castleknock, D15EA43"

No listing for them on the Health and Leisure Centre website. http://junction6.ie/all-businesses/

    "Call Us
    01 691 8888"

Phone number leads to a different business, Fitac Ltd? who aren't listed on the Junction 6 website?

    "Send a Message
    info@tfe.ie"

tfe.ie was only registered on the 25/03/2020

I can't find a listing for "the Ferrari experience" on the CRO website either?

    Hi Oral, Brightspark

You post was brought to my attention by our Marketing department at 11pm this evening.

I am the managing Director of this company and also other companies as you mention such as FITAC Ltd.

We are currently organising this charity raffle to raise much needed funds for Pieta House, and to give our new company some publicity to get off the ground. We can assure you that it is a legitimate draw and we will be giving away a 488 GTB to one lucky person with our draw broadcast live on Facebook.

Our limited company has been established for 5 years, while The Ferrari Experience is a newly established entity of our limited company, and is up and running. We use the same landline for both business as it comes through to our offices and our mobile at the weekend.

We have recently agreed a rental with Junction 6 for a small office just past the reception and are awaiting it to re-open after the Covid-19 restrictions . It is a very convenient location for a car rental business and we look forward to moving in shortly. Please feel free to ring them to confirm same if you wish.

If you would like a spin on one of our Ferrari's or if you require any further information please feel free to email me at the address on either company page and it will come through to me.

    Many thanks,

    Ciaran

Isambard is not implying anything. He has asked a legitimate question which you have failed/refused to answer.

Thank you for coming on the Forum Ciaran, and its great you have such a dedicated Marketing Department working so late. Could you tell us how much out of each 50 euro ticket will go to Pieta House, the funds being much needed. Are you intending on gifting the value of the car to Pieta house, or are you recouping the costs of the car and making a donation with funds over an agreed ammount?

Yes of course, we have applied for and received permits from our solicitors which complies with the lotteries and gaming act 1956 and the charities act 2009. I have posted my details above, and I can be contacted on our company email address.

I won't be replying to anonymous people posting damaging comments on this all day long. I would rather spend today with my family.

If anyone has any queries please feel free to contact me.

I too was curious so visited the website. 6,000 tickets at €50 apiece (€300,000) and a minimum of €20,000 being made available to Pieta house from the proceeds of the draw? If the car is worth €250,000 then are we to assume that all remaining monies, ie. €50,000 is for Pieta House or are the organisers using some of the proceeds to cover expenses? Just looking for some clarity.

    From their terms and conditions

    5. General

5.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. The latest version of these terms and conditions will be available on the Website. The Ferrari Experience are committed to contributing a minimum of €20,000 and more to Pieta from our fundraising efforts once all tickets have been sold. The Ferrari Experience Club is established and conducted for the purpose not connected with gaming wagering or lotteries. Any public notice or announcement about this draw is a notice to members of The Ferrari Experience Club or to other persons concerned. All members of The Ferrari Experience Club (hereinafter called the “Club”) participating in this draw are subject to the rules of the club

5.2 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition and any future competitions.

5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so. The promoter reserves the right to extend the date of the draw to ensure that we reach our target to raise funds for charity. The promoter shall refund all participants directly by the same payment method in the event of the draw being cancelled.

5.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

5.5 You should print a copy of these terms and conditions and keep them for your records.

5.6 The Ferrari Experience has obtained a valid permit for all raffle prizes under the 1956 Gaming and Lotteries Act. This legislation is available to view here.

    Hi Fitzgeme,

All of these queries can be answered very quickly by looking at the terms and conditions on our website. We are committed to contributing a minimum of €20,000 to Pieta House and more depending on tickets sales and costs etc. The 1st prize gets covered by the raffle as is standard with any large prize purchase that simply cannot bu just donated. Our own company are however donating over €15,000 in runners up prizes through Ferrari rentals, and other promotions running in conjunction with this competition. Please see our competition page for all details.

Yes thank you, we do have some very intelligent and diligent marketing people working for us!

I will not be on my laptop for the remainder of this Easter Sunday, and again if there are any queries that we haven't addressed on our FAQ and terms and conditions page, then please send me an email and will reply on my return.

    Have a good Easter folks

Thanks, we'll leave it at that.

The motors forum isn't really a place for the discussion around the legalities of raffles or the distribution of prizes.
