    Just a quick survey on 2020 big ticket items and household budget.

    Are you planning to buy/sell/hold

    Home/ property
    Car/Transport
    Home improvements
    Holidays
    Wedding
    Funeral
    Hobbes
    Bills
    Any other

    2.4 children family with two incomes.

    Home = Hold 300k +
    No plans to buy or sell

    Car = Buy
    bought work car in January 16k Plans to buy family car next year put on hold till future is more stable or massive discount 30k.

    Home improvements = Hold
    Mostly done over the last three years. TV, fridge, etc upgrades put on hold.

    Holidays = Sell 4k
    Holidays cancelled this year. Staycation.

    Wedding = Hold
    Once is enough. 20k gross

    Funeral = Hold
    10k fund hopefully not needed.

    Hobbies = Sell
    When we get the chance, the great outdoors will be the new family hobbies.

    Bill's = Sell
    Unnecessary and high Bill's to be cut.

    Any other = Hold
    Cant think of any at the moment.

    As you can see we are going from a spend budget to a conservative budget this year. Not that we need/have to, it's just we are bit more weary since 2007 and are pulling the horns in.

    Has your budget plans changed this year? Are they conservative or aggressive?

    I think Napoleon did less planning when he marched to Moscow. :confused:
