In raw numbers this is a far greater threat.

The media here will weigh a couple of hundred old foggies shuffling off early heavier than millions of poor starving bastards far away. Not their fault really though as commercial entities. It is about what sells.

If this all plays out worse case scenario though, lifeboat Europe is going to get seriously swamped and then Covid-19 is childsplay.

If they could collect and transport the shagging things the Chinese would probably buy them.

Plague of Locusts, eh? Meh - it's been done. Good example of the kind of thing that happens when the knit-your-own-tofu crowd get too much of their way and things like insect control become dangerously underfunded. This kind of thing has been happening in that part of the World since forever.

This is the biggest outbreak that some countries have seen in 70 years though, it says it in the first paragraph.

Yes, I know. This is the kind of thing you tend to get when the saggy-titted agri-lesbians are taken too seriously. It says it in my post.

That makes no sense at all jim, much like your previous post.

Keep reading it until you get it, along with a history of locust swarming in that region since about 1860. Happy Easter. :D

1 new case of #Ebola was confirmed today by surveillance & response teams in Northeastern #DRC after 52 days without a case.
@WHO remains as committed as ever to bringing this outbreak to an end.

What I mean is, certain misguided environmental policies are making the locust issue that much worse.

I see where you were coming from by posting this op. It's gonna be more hardship for people as this locust will destroy crops. It's sad.

Problem is no one cares. You can see yourself by the replies so far. Sure people may argue that we have are own problems with Corona (which is true) but even if it wasn't around no one would still care. As this doesn't directly effect people over here.

Funny ol world we live in.

    Things like monoculture?

I rarely see the hippy lesbians advocating for that.

Yeah, it's sad that some people can distance themselves so much and not have any empathy.

But thankfully we do have a lot of silent hero's here within the farming community in Ireland who have been very supportive of projects that have helped some of the poorer people of Africa to become self sufficient

A good friend of mine has done an awful lot work in the regions affected and about to be affected by this and a lot of the projects he has initiated will be decimated by this but I'd be optimistic that the Irish farming community will not be found wanting when it comes to providing renewed assistance to help get the projects back up and running again.
