An all start cast tells the story of the Kelly Gang.

It was due to be released on April 24th.
Based on Peter Carey's novel, it is the story of Australian bushranger Ned Kelly and his gang as they flee from authorities during the 1870s.

Starring George MacKay, Essie Davis, Nicholas Hoult, Orlando Schwerdt, Thomasin McKenzie, Sean Keenan, Charlie Hunnam and Russell Crowe.

Should be stressed this is very much NOT the historical story of the Kelly gang.

Its an entertaining enough movie, best performance is by essie Davis as the mother..... And by mackay as the lead.

Some nice old irish references too

This is the third Ned Kelly film I know off One had Jagger, another had Ledger and this one. I reckon there could be more out there.
I don't know if Proposition was loosely based on the Kelly as well.

I reckon there are probably dozens of films about the Kelly gang, the earliest was made around 1906!

You would imagine there would be nothing left to tell in regards to the Kelly's.
