Do you have the model number SM-XXX to identify what one it is exactly?

I'm trying this, but can't get past what I've marked in bold here. It just says 'recovery booting...', then goes blank. Now that's all it says when I turn it on too, no Samsung logo. Feck.
Perform the Master Reset – this will bring your device back to its default settings and configuration and probably fix the reboots. However, make sure that you make a backup of your important files and data as they will be deleted during the process. Also, make sure you know your Google ID and password as you will be using it to setup your tablet after the reset so that you won’t be locked out of your device. Here’s how the reset is done on your Tab S4…

    Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Samsung Galaxy logo screen displays, release all of the keys, the press and quickly release the Power key
‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds, then a ‘No command’ Android will appear before showing the Android system recovery menu options.
Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
Press the Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
Press the Power key to select and start the master reset.
When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
Press the Power key to restart the device.

    Did you get this sorted?

Have you tried a soft reset or normal power down

It's pretty much dead. The earliest symptom (afaik) was that it wouldn't turn on. That's still the an issue now, even with a few hours on charge. Sometimes the charge symbol appears, and sometimes it goes through the start up logo, etc, but not a hope of going past as it seems turn off. Nothing normal about it at the moment.

Purchased 18 months ago. Dunno if it's the battery, or software. Can't return it to DID until they reopen.

Fonfix quoted €55 to repair. It has extended warranty with DID through next year.

No one available on Samsung Live chat yesterday or this morning.

It turned on yesterday and got to the PIN stage, but you couldn't input any numbers. Then again, but didn't even display the numbers. Then the usual restarting loop or not turning on at all.

Tablet repair arranged through Samsung's online chat support and ultimately, it was sent to Fonfix.

Circuit board was faulty and has been replaced. Back in action. :)
